Prima Flowers and Shimmerz....

Hey everyone!!
I can't believe it's March already--I am so excited for Spring! The birds are back and March is going quickly--so all is good! I am getting ready to leave for Germany next week and I can't wait to go! Prima will be doing make and takes at a huge craft fair called Creativa. We are going to be making scrap layouts using our flowers and papers. And Love My Tapes is going to sponsor us with their amazing tape runners so I am all set to go--except packing. I have my eye on some new luggage but I have to convince Pete that I "need it". It's hard cover luggage in Black and White houndstooth--so cool! We'll see if I can get him to budge...hehe.

So here's the latest and greatest of what I have been up to...
http://shimmerzpaints.blogspot.com/
I guest designed for Shimmerz recently-they are so sweet and generous. And can I tell you-I loved painting flowers with their Blingz and Shimmerz-it is so sparkly, colorful and it dries super fast.
No warping of the flower shape at all. As a matter of fact-I did warp mine on purpose. Once you paint the flowers-you can push up the petals and they stay right where you want them-like a coating that allows you to move them even after it's dry. WOW!

Here is one of the cards I made for them-I sprayed with Vibez-Penny Pincher, stamped with blingz and painted with Shimmerz paints. I had a blast! I used Prima stamps for my images and cut them out, punched a corner using a scalloped square punch and added cool ribbon and a pearl center.

This is the layout I made for them too... I colored the background with various Vibez colors-streaking and blending it as I went using my finger. I dries so super fast and leaves amazing sparkle. I painted more flowers, spritzed a canvas bird and added some more Prima goodies.

I highly recommend you check out their blog and website-they have an amazing team of designers, how to videos and more. There is always so much eye candy on the blog and cool ideas too.
You can also see their entire line up of products and colors--I want it all! It's so fun to use!

On to other things---Prima has launched a new website called "Live With Prima". We are featuring 3 amazing instructors-Marion Smith, Donna Downey and Julie Fei Fan Balzer. Thier projects are amazing and their styles are unique to each one of them.
AND-you can chat live during the video classes! Ask questions, chat with other viewers and everyone present has a chance to win some Prizes courtesy of Prima. So far-it's been a huge hit-it's so fun!
Here is the link to the site. It will have all info about classes, the instructors, and -----
you can purchase the kits the girls are using! Ahead of time too! So you can work on projects right along with the Instructors! Some kits are up on the site for sale, but not all yet. We will be updating that this week.
All you need to do is sign up for a free account on Ustream.com with a login and password. Search Prima flowers on the site and you will be able to see the classes we have already aired to get a feel for what it's about.

Julie is going to do a class live on Monday at 11:00am est. Her class will be all techniques and tricks! I can't wait to see what she does!
Here is the link: http://www.livewithprima.com/
and go here to see what Julie is making: http://prima.typepad.com/

The site is brand new so we will be working on it to make it even better over the next week or so...

So that's what has been going on! I have been really really busy with it all!
I'll be back soon with more projects from Prima!
Thanks for stopping by!
xoxo Cari
